From the National Weather Service, Norman Forecast Office:

Expect showers and thunderstorms to develop across portions of southern Oklahoma and western north Texas late this afternoon,

most likely between 430 and 630 PM CDT. A few strong to severe storms are possible across far south central Oklahoma.

Hail to the size of quarters and frequent lightning will be the hazards.

Any severe storm chances will diminish after sunset.  Look for showers and thunderstorms to

continue overnight, with new development across portions of central Oklahoma and locations

along and west of Interstate 44 in southern Oklahoma.

Showers and thunderstorm chances will persist into Saturday with a few strong storms possible near the Red River.

Remaining rain will slowly exit to the east Saturday night through early Sunday.
