Oklahoma students create inspirational YouTube video for teacher battling cancer

Mustang students are rallying around their middle school science teacher who was diagnosed with cancer in May 2013.

A group of students have created an inspirational letter in the form of a YouTube video to encourage Mustang teacher Marshall Lauen to stay strong and continue his fight against the disease.

“Our strength, comes from one thing. You. Your strength empowers us. Your strength removes fear…”

Students are also raising money for Lauen on a Fundrazr page and selling “Beardstrong” T-shirts,donating all proceeds to his treatment and care.

According to a Fundrazr page, Lauen has Stage 2 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and a softball-size tumor pressing against his heart and lung. He is reportedly receiving chemotherapy treatments at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.
