…Freezing rain…sleet…and snow possible Saturday night through Sunday night…

A fairly stout upper level storm system will approach Oklahoma and western north Texas Saturday night and early sunday morning. Freezing rain and drizzle could develop across portions of central and northeast Oklahoma near the Interstate 44 corridor as early as midnight Saturday night…and slowly slide south and southeast during the day Sunday. Further north across portions of northern Oklahoma…sleet and perhaps some snow will be possible through the day Sunday. It is unclear how much accumulation will occur at this time…but with temperatures remaining below freezing for much of Oklahoma during the entire day sunday at least a glaze of ice appears highly likely.

Be sure to monitor the forecast closely this weekend. ice accumulations over one tenth of an inch will be possible…and the locations where this may occur will become more clear over the next 24 hours.
