Freezing fog advisory until 10 a.m. Sunday, National Weather Service, Norman

The National Weather Service, Norman Forecast Office has issued a

freezing fog advisory which is in effect until 10 a.m. CST Sunday:

* Visibility: Less than one quarter mile or less at times.

* Impacts: Reduced visibilities will create hazardous driving
conditions. Slick spots may develop on roadways…especially on
elevated surfaces such as bridges and overpasses.
Precautionary/preparedness actions…

If you are driving…slow down…use your headlights…and leave
plenty of room between you and other vehicles. Black ice is
extremely difficult to detect. Roadways may only appear
damp when…in fact…they are covered with a thin layer of ice.

Now looking ahead … from the National Weather Service, Norman Forecast Office:

Our round of winter isn’t stopping just yet. Here is our latest thinking with regards to wintry precipitation chances beginning Sunday and continuing through Early Tuesday.

Initial forecast for snow accumulations for Monday through early Tuesday.
