The National Weather Service in Norman has issued a winter
weather advisory for snow…which is in effect until 4 pm cst
this afternoon. a wind chill advisory remains in effect until noon
cst today.
* timing… light snow will continue into this afternoon.
* amounts… total snowfall amounts of up to an inch and a half
are expected.
* impacts… slick and hazardous travel conditions will be
possible at least through the afternoon hours and could continue
overnight tonight. In addition… visibilities could drop to a
mile or two at times.
* other impacts…wind chill values will remain between 0 and -10
through noon today. single digit wind chills are then expected
by Thursday afternoon.
precautionary/preparedness actions…
dress in layers and leave no skin exposed to the wind. frostbite
and hypothermia can happen quickly. Check on the elderly and sick
in your neighborhood to ensure they are staying warm.

today for parts of Oklahoma and western north Texas.
* timing…light snow will continue this morning…and taper off
west to east between 10 am and 4 pm today.
* amounts…total snowfall amounts will range from 2 to 3 inches
across portions of western oklahoma…to 1 to 2 inches across
western north texas and central and southern oklahoma.
* impacts…slick and hazardous travel will continue through at
least the afternoon hours and could continue overnight. In
addition…blowing snow could cause visibilities to drop to
near 1 mile at times making driving even more difficult.
* other impacts…wind chill values will remain in the 0 to -15
range through noon today. Single digit wind chills are then
expected this afternoon.
