It’s official. Fred Williams is the new coach of the Tulsa Shock.
Williams previously served as the head coach of the Atlanta Dream and Utah Starzz (now the San Antonio Silver Stars) from 1999-2001.
He said he’s ready and fired up about 2014. ”Tulsa already feels like a family.”
Coach Williams on his coaching philosophy: “I expect to generate a balanced team with attention to speed, fast breaks and excitement.”

At Thursday’s new conference, The Shock also unveiled a new logo to celebrate the team’s fifth anniversary in the league.
