How low have wind chills dipped already on this Thursday morning?
On this very cold Thursday morning, Foraker in northern Oklahoma has had an actual low temperature of 8.3 degrees at 7:40 a.m. and the wind chill has dipped as low as negative 11, according to the Oklahoma Mesonet weather network.
Boise City had an actual low of 7.6 degrees at 8:15 a.m.
Newkirk, Goodwell and Boise City have recorded a wind chill of negative 10 today.
In central Oklahoma, the Mesonet locations at El Reno and Minco have had a negative 5 wind chill. And, the Oklahoma City – North station, near the Broadway Extension and Wilshire, had a negative 2 as has Oklahoma City -East.
Also in Oklahoma County, at 8:20 a.m. the actual temperature at Spencer was 14 degrees.
The cold will continue.
The National Weather Service, Norman Forecast Office has a wind chill advisory in effect until noon CST today (Thursday) for Harper, Woods, Alfalfa, Grant, Kay, Ellis, Woodward, Major, Garfield, Noble, Roger Mills, Dewey, Custer, Blaine, Kingfisher, Logan, Payne, Canadian, Oklahoma and Lincoln counties.
Wind chill values of 5 to 15 degrees below zero are possible.

exposed to the wind. Remember that frostbite and hypothermia can happen
