Community comes together to grant BatKid wish
Dun-na-na-na-na #BATKID! He’s here and taking the world by storm.

If you haven’t seen the photos circulating on social media, the city of San Francisco has transformed into GothamCity today to grant one boy’s wish to become BatKid for a day. Miles, 5, is battling leukemia, according to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
So far, he has spent the day performing rescues, riding in a custom Batmobile, stopping bank robberies and capturing villains. He will even receive a key to the city.

By the looks of it, the majority of the city is involved with the wish. Photos show hundreds of people watching in the street, and The San Francisco Chronicle even created a front page of the “Gotham City Chronicle” to distribute throughout Union Square.

Even President Barack Obama commented on Miles’ adventure Friday. The White House released this Vine:
The community is coming together to make this a memorable day for one child. Miles is fighting a serious battle right now, and it must be great for him to escape for a day and be a kid again. A super kid.
