Fantasy Football: Guys who fell through the cracks
Hey, fantasy football owners, we know that your drafts are done — the NFL season starts Thursday night! — but there might be some players who went undrafted but are worth keeping an eye on.
Here are a couple names that Mike Baldwin, our resident fantasy football expert, has for you — and they’re all from the same team.
New England.
Zach Sudfeld: He’s a largely unknown tight end for the Patriots, but with Aaron Hernandez gone amid a legal mess and Rob Gronkowski hurt, Sudfeld could be the beneficiary.
Kenbrell Thompkins: The Patriots wide receiver could emerge as a Wes Welker type.
Shane Vereen: The Patriots don’t run the ball a bunch, but they have to run it some. Vereen is a guy who could carry some of that load.
