That plane circling Texas’ campus with a pro-Oklahoma banner is front-page news not only on our website but also on the Austin newspaper’s site.

The Austin American-Statesman posted a story and a photo during the lunch hour of the banner that says “HEY MACK. QUIT WHINING U KNEW THE RULES,” and within a few hours, there were dozens of comments. Some people had seen the plane, others were just reading about it.

Several called it classless. Others said it was no big deal.

The funniest posts, though, came back-to-back.

First at 12:50 p.m. by Lili316: “Well, at least Texas fans can spell.”

It was followed at 12:52 p.m. by Bevo: “Are sign was for a reason, theirs is for fun. I hope their trailer isn’t taken when they can’t pay rent.”

“Are sign”?

Um, yeah, that’s “Our sign.”
