Before we redesigned a couple months ago, NewsOK.com had a page designed to cover the Oklahoma City and Tulsa zoos great elephant experiment.

Star reporter Carrie Coppernoll was leading the coverage, and she came to the NewsOK editors a couple weeks ago because there were new developments in the story.

Long story short, Elephant Nation is back on NewsOK, complete with maps, graphics, timeline, videos and slideshows.

Trust me, there’s plenty to learn there.

At every holiday party I’ve been to this year, I’ve impressed with my knowledge of the elephant breeding process.

And no, there’s no punchline here — people really are interested.
