Super 30 page give readers a quick view of the best in the state for 2012
To me, that means it’s officially OK to start openly discussing the upcoming football season. And now that I’m ready, it’s pretty cool that The Oklahoman sports department has been keeping up with the football season all summer.
- The OU and OSU blogs have been active — really active — since the spring practices ended.
- Jason Kersey has even been breaking down the best wins and worst losses in Bob Stoops’ coaching career at OU. (He’s up to No. 6, already.)
- The team or reporters covered the heck out of the Big 12 media days last week.
The project began on June 22 with Edmond Santa Fe’s Trevan Smith and ended July 21 with Douglass’ D.J. Ward, so you might have already read about all the stars. Or maybe you are like me, and you are catching up on your football coverage now as you try to acquaint yourself with the stars of the 2012 season.
If you are like me, this page is perfect.
With a few clicks and a scroll or two, I can become quickly educated on the best players in the state — what they look like, where they are playing now and where they plan to play in college (Tulsa always has a good quarterback, and the next one might be from Sallisaw).
Check out the Super 30 page as you begin preparations for the 2012 football season.
