Commenting makes it to NewsOK Mobile

Our mobile site is awesome.

All readers of The Digital Desk know that. I’ve told them before — I even called the launch date for mobile “one of my favorite days as NewsOK’s Digital Managing Editor.”

And when I posted that on April 18, 2012, I also said that we were not finished:

Because of the way they built this version of NewsOK, you will now begin to see more features rolled out to our mobile audience through the rest of this year and beyond.

Last week was another example of that. We rolled out commenting on the articles on the mobile site.

Now, you can post to, share or just read the same comment stream that is on the full website.

It’s just one more step in making the NewsOK Mobile and NewsOK App experiences as robust as they possibly can be (more on that in the coming weeks).

We know a lot of our users have already moved to NewsOK Mobile as their primary news-reading option. We see it in the continued traffic growth on the mobile website and the continued growth for NewsOK on the weekends.

NewsOK isn’t just on your work computer. It’s in your pocket — everywhere you go.

That’s why we will continue to expand the options on the mobile website. Too see what I’ve already written about since the launch, just look at the posts in the iPhone / Mobile category.
