Man dies after domestic-related stabbing in Oklahoma City

Police are investigating a stabbing and apparent suicide in west Oklahoma City.

Oklahoma City Sgt. Jennifer Wardlow said police were called about 10:20 p.m. Wednesday to an apartment in the 300 block of Pointe Parkway Boulevard.

She said officers found a 29-year-old woman outside the apartment with apparent stab wounds. The woman was taken to a hospital and remained in serious condition Thursday.

Her 42-year-old husband was found locked in a bathroom inside the apartment. Police said he had injuries that appeared to be self-inflicted.

Paramedics took him to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Wardlow said investigators think the man assaulted his wife before committing suicide.

She said the man appeared to have cut himself, but the cause of death will be determined by the state medical examiner.

Two children who were inside the apartment were taken into state custody, Wardlow said.

Police would not release the names of the couple.
