Man taken into custody after southwest Oklahoma City search
Authorities have taken a man into custody after a search in southwest Oklahoma City Tuesday morning.
Oklahoma City police Lt. Jay Barnett said officers received a call from the Oklahoma County sheriff's office about 3:30 a.m. Tuesday to assist with a search related to a warrant near SW 24 and S McKinley Avenue.
Barnett said authorities were looking for a man who had a warrant for possession of a firearm after a former felony conviction. He said an Oklahoma City police K-9 unit dog found the man in the area and he surrendered.
